What materials are your mouthguard made from?
Our mouthguards are made from our unique plastic that we have developed over the past 3 years. The plastic was developed with the sole purpose of offering maximum protection and comfort for anyone who wears our mouthguards. The plastic has also been independently tested by AIT (Athlone Institute of Technology) CSID and the test results show that it’s free of toxins and carcinogens.
How long does a mouthguard last?
This varies according to many factors, e.g. growth, usage etc. Normally a growing child would require a new mouthguard once a year. Although the teeth and bones may be growing, the mouthguards are flexible and can accommodate some movement. Older children and adults may not grow, but the mouthguards will wear down with use and should be checked annually.
How do I clean/care for my mouthguard?
- To help increase the longevity of your mouthguard NEVER CHEW YOUR MOUTHGUARD
- Rinse your mouthguard with water before wearing and after each use
- Keep in storage case when not in use
- Periodically light brush it with a soft toothbrush and warm water
- Use only dental appliance cleaners for soaking/cleaning. DO NOT use alcohol-based products.
- NEVER boil your mouthguard. It will lose its shape
My child has missing or loose teeth?
No problem. Our technicians automatically check the 3D models for teeth which are yet to erupt and create extra space for the new teeth to erupt in the mouthguard file that we print for them.
